This tutorial
reviews the various technologies that are both currently implemented
and proposed to mitigate the effects of jamming and unintentional
interference on GPS signal reception and navigation. The performance
benefits and limitations of each technology are presented. The
building blocks of anti-jam techniques are discussed, including the
antenna, antenna electronics (signal and spatial processing), and
receiver.
The course is useful for engineers and managers and other technical
personnel who want to gain an understanding of the increasingly
important subject of GPS interference suppression principles,
techniques, and trade-offs. This tutorial continues as 720B on
