IMPORTANT! TracPak
units come set with GARMIN factory defaults. GARMIN TracPaks include a technical
notes document which outlines the various input sentences for setting time, data, intitial
position, update rate, NMEA output sentences, etc. Changing receiver outputs requires
sending simple text commands via a terminal program, such as PROCOMM PLUS®, or the
terminal program included with Windows. The popular Fugawi
3.0 program by Northport Systems Inc. now includes an easy to use interface for
programming Garmin TracPaks, and includes a mapping CD for the US. |
