Superstar II Board 3.3v or 5v Versions

NovAtel's SUPERSTAR is a compact GPS receiver for customers seeking the same quality standard as NovAtel’s ALLSTAR, only in a smaller package.

The SUPERSTAR II provides high reliability, outstanding performance under severe conditions (foliage, urban canyons) and ease of integration as an embedded receiver.

The SUPERSTAR II is a low-cost GPS OEM receiver, designed to operate with either an active or a passive GPS antenna, at the lowest system cost. The SUPERSTAR II also provides spare memory up to 128K SRAM, and up to 768K FEROM and a minimum of 30% of the resources of a powerful ARM-7 CPU to allow the incorporation of user-specific functionality within the receiver. An Application Programming Interfaces (API) will be available to enable system integrations to embed part, or all, of their functionality within the SUPERSTAR II and reduce overall system cost, size and power consumption.

Optional features include either the 5v or 3.3v version, PVT output rates of 1Hz or 5Hz, carrier phase measurements at 1Hz or 10Hz and a selection of straight or right angle connectors for I/O and RF (minimum order quantities may apply). The GPS OEM module also features a base station option.

SUPERSTAR II Development Kits The SUPERSTAR II Development Kit lets you start testing and evaluating performance within minutes of receiving the package. Includes SUPERSTAR II GPS receiver in a rugged Flex Pak enclosure with RS-232 output, 12dB active mag mount GPS antenna, auto lighter plug adapter, 110vAC to 12vDC power adapter, specification manual and programming guide, DB-9 serial cable, and Starview Windows based control, monitoring, evaluation, and terminal interface program.
