CR8894SXF+ Anti-Jam Four Element CRPA

CR8894SXF+ from Calian is a four element controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) designed to null interference and jamming from up to three sources simultaneously, allowing GNSS operation in highly hostile environments. This CRPA is highly sophisticated, processing and nulling interference within the antenna itself. Traditional CRPA technology requires the identification and nulling of interference on the receiver side, requiring much more sophisticated receiver-side processing. By providing a standard RF output with interference mitigated at the antenna-level, the CR8894SXF+ is compatible with all Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) receivers. The CR8894SXF+ is a dual-band GNSS antenna covering all major GNSS constellations including GPS L1/L2, QZSS L1/L2, GLONASS G2/G3, Galileo E1/E5B, and BeiDou B1/B2b.

Calian CR8894SXF+ Anti-Jam Four Element CRPA

The Calian CR8894SXF+ is a four element controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) designed to null interference and jamming from up to three sources simultaneously, allowing for GNSS operation in highly hostile environments. This CRPA is highly sophisticated, processing and nulling interference within the antenna itself. Traditional CRPA technology requires the identification and nulling of interference on the receiver side, requiring much more sophisticated receiver-side processing or external electronics. By providing a standard RF output with interference mitigated at the antenna-level, the CR8894SXF+ is compatible with all Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) receivers. This innovation provides exceptional versatility, allowing the CR8894SXF+ to function with existing infrastructure and allowing a form of backwards compatibility, with which the antenna’s exceptional performance can be utilized with existing systems.

The CR8894SXF+ provides RS232 and RS422 interfaces, in addition to the RF connector (which is available in SMA or TNC). These serial interface connectors provide NMEA messages containing jammer detection, band information, mitigation status, and interference direction. All of these connectors are centrally located for sealing from water ingression when properly surface mounted. The antenna itself is contained within a lightweight, waterproof and rugged enclosure designed to withstand harsh conditions and complies with IPX7 standards.

The CR8894SXF+ is a dual-band GNSS antenna covering all major GNSS constellations including GPS L1/L2, QZSS L1/L2, GLONASS G2/G3, Galileo E1/E5B, and BeiDou B1/B2b.

Features

  • Dual band GNSS signal support
  • Supports eXtended Filtering+ (XF+) providing sharp out-of-band signal rejection
  • Up to 20-40 dB null depth
  • Serial interface provides state information and estimated jammer direction
  • IPX7 water proof housing

CRPA technology is a highly effective strategy for jamming and interference mitigation, the technology for which was recently removed from the ITAR list and is now available for unrestricted sale in the United States.
