About the Author
Ahmed El-Rabbany is an associate professor at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. He is also an honorary research associate and an adjunct professor at the University of New Brunswick and York University, respectively. Dr. El-Rabbany holds a number of professional positions, including Geodesy Councilor to the Canadian Institute of Geomatics; Chair, International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) WG-4.2: Vertical Reference Surface for Hydrography; and Chair of the Toronto branch of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his academic achievements, including two merit awards from Ryerson University, and is included in the International Directory of ExpertsSatellite Navigation, issued by the American Biographical Institute. He has more than 20 years of research, instructional, and industrial experience, and holds a Ph.D. degree in GPS from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
